11/08/13 NW MODEL EXPO The Mount Rainier Radio Control Society thanks all those who made the 2004 show possible. The support of commercial manufacturers and vendors, people who attended, swap meet sellers, car racers, model railroaders, model clubs, and the craftsmen who displayed their models is greatly appreciated. Regretfully, having considered all aspects of the operation and the impact on the modeling community, the club has reluctantly decided to discontinue the sponsorship of the NW Model Expo. Indications are that commercial vendor participation is waning and club and static display participation continues to decline. Sponsorship involves considerable club effort and a very substantial financial investment. Thanks to all the clubs and individuals who have supported the Expo over the past 24 years. Special thanks to the many model RR clubs and individuals, the R/C car clubs, and Gil Coughlan for their working layouts, races, and displays.
